journals in the United States and United Kingdom. I also served as Deputy Editor of the UK
Oracle User Group Magazine (known as Oracle Scene) for a period of two years from
December 2003-2005. Copies of my presentations and white papers can be downloaded at
PC software skills, including: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and
Internet Software Products and Tools
Apart from enhancing my PC software skills through daily use I have been highly trained in
the use of all the above mentioned products. I have also used such products in the
development of bespoke software applications as well as manuals, bids, presentations and
proposals submitted to clients over the years.
Having established my own web site I have learnt Microsoft Frontpage and basic HTML
editing. In addition to this I have founded a site called oracleappsblog.com, the first web log
dedicated to publishing the daily thoughts and learnings of Oracle Applications Consultants
and Implementers. This site is ranked in the top 20 blogs in the United Kingdom (according to
http://www.britblog.com), has 5,000 members and averages 3,000 visits a day. My position as
Deputy Editor or Oracle Scene has also required me to learn and become familiar with the
use of world-class publishing software, namely Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop.
I completed my Articles of Clerkship with Deloitte and Touche and also have a Bachelor of
Accounting Science (B.Compt) Degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA). In 2003, I
completed my postgraduate degree, a Masters in Business Leadership (equivalent to MBA)
with University of South Africa (UNISA). Here I majored in Project Planning, Scheduling and
Control, Management of Technology and Managing Electronic Commerce.
Ability to travel to and work at client sites
I have spent the last 12 years implementing a diverse range of software solutions for
organisations within a variety of industries in the Southern Africa region. I have travelled
extensively and have worked in Botswana, France, Holland, India, South Africa, Switzerland,
Uganda, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and Zambia. This has enabled me to adapt very quickly
to my surroundings and the people I work with. Most of my engagements have involved me
being present on client sites for several months where I have worked with them to develop
solutions for their business.
