Amendment to Lease or Rental Agreement
This is an Amendment to the lease or rental agreement dated day of , 20
between (“Landlord”)
and (”Tenants”)
regarding property located at
(“the premises”)
Landlord and Tenants agree to the following changes and/or additions to the Agreement.
1. This agreement is an Amendment and part of the Rental Agreement and/or Lease
between Landlord and Tenant.
2. a) Pertaining to (3) on the Rental Agreement:
Defining the Terms of Tenancy. This tenancy may be terminated by Landlord
or Tenants and may be modified by Landlord, by giving 30 days’ or 60 days’
notice (starting Jan 1 2007) for tenants over one year, written notice to the
other in accordance with Civil Code Section 827 or 1946.1 (subject to any
local rent control ordinances that may apply).
b) Effective July 1, 2004, California Civil Code 1632 states that if businesses
(including landlords) negotiate with customers in any of these languages:
Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese and Korean, the written contract (lease or
rental agreement) must also be in that language.
