Advanced Hydraulics Class
Visits B&B Hydraulics
November 22, Dr. Dell and 13 students from the Ad-
vanced Hydraulics class toured B&B Hydraulics in
Hutchinson, KS. Students were able to watch first
hand a hydrostatic transmission being performance
tested on a hydraulic bench under load. Students also
learned about contamination control and filtration,
lapping rotating group components, hose and tubing
fabrication, cylinder repair, and Lincoln lubrication
systems. B&B also provided the students a tour of a
local plant in Hutchinson that had a unique triple
pump hydraulic system with more than 24,000 hours
on the hydraulic pumps. B&B also made homemade
ice cream for the students. Thank you B&B for the
hospitality.
GM Donates Two Vehicles
The Department of Automotive Technology received two GM donations during the fall 2013 se-
mester: A 2011 GMC Terrain and a 2012 Cadillac SRX! We thank GM for the continued sup-
port of the PSU Automotive program. Our graduate assistant (GA) for the last year and a half,
Adam Martin, is graduating this semester with his masters degree! The entire faculty would
like to thank Adam for all of his hard work and wish him good luck with his future in the auto-
motive industry.
