PRACTICE OVERVIEW
Ezra Doner specializes in the production, finance and distribution of motion pictures and other
entertainment programs and products, as well as copyright and literary property. He also
practices in the Internet and new media areas, and in arbitration as both an advocate and a
neutral.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Doner served as an executive and lawyer with film
companies in New York and Los Angeles, including Miramax Films, Gladden Entertainment,
Cinema Group and Paramount Pictures.
Mr. Doner has more than 25 years’ experience representing producers, distributors, financiers
and exhibitors of filmed entertainment, rights holders, film makers, writers and other artists,
and companies and entrepreneurs in the Internet, new media, music, advertising, consulting,
and information industries.
His client work includes complex rights transactions, film and television library transactions
including motion picture remakes, co-production and distribution arrangements, purchase of
entertainment assets in bankruptcies, high level talent and film maker agreements, and
innovative film finance including bank representation in work-outs.
